A 3D scanning solution for complex measurement and inspection tasks

Reliable, versatile and compact

The ZEISS ATOS Q is a high precision 3D scanner for shop floor and measuring room inspection, combining fringe projection, interchangeable lenses and IP-rated durability in a scanner light enough to move between production lines. Built for manufacturers who need traceable, repeatable measurements without a dedicated measuring room.

Designed for industry use

The 3D scanner ATOS Q was specifically developed for industry use: It delivers fully traceable measurement results even under harsh conditions. The optical and electronic systems of the robust scanner are dustproof and splashproof – making it ideally suited for taking a project from the measuring room to production. Another highlight: its compact size and simple, convenient operation.

Packed with cutting-edge technology

The 3D scanner ATOS Q captures quality information fast and with precise detail, providing a reliable basis for data analysis. Its Triple Scan Principle makes it ideal for measuring reflective surfaces and objects with dents. The Blue Light Equalizer increases the brightness of the light source and transfers uniform, speckle-free light to the projection unit.

Fast results, exceptional performance

The outstanding performance of the 3D scanner ATOS Q is largely owed to its Blue Light Equalizer and fast data processing. The Blue Light Equalizer enables high-speed fringe projection and is so powerful that short measuring times can be achieved even on optically uncooperative surfaces. Industrial ports with fiber optic cables and robust plug-in connections allow for high data throughput.

What is the ATOS Q used for?

The ZEISS ATOS Q is a high precision 3D scanner built for measuring and inspecting complex parts, from the CMM room to the production floor. Using fringe projection with interchangeable lenses, it captures accurate geometry on reflective, dark and textured surfaces — supporting first article inspection, deviation analysis and quality control across electronics, automotive, aerospace, semiconductor and mould/die manufacturing.

How ATOS Q's high-speed fringe projection with Blue Light Technology work

ATOS Q’s precise fringe patterns are projected onto the surface of the object and are captured by two cameras based on the stereo camera principle. Our projection technology works with narrow-band blue light, which means that interfering ambient light can be filtered out during image acquisition.

Applications

The compact ATOS Q 3D scanner is highly versatile: It handles complex measurement and inspection tasks in manual and semi-automated operation.

Due to its weight of only 4 kg and its compact design, the 3D scanner ATOS Q can be easily moved. Mounted on a tripod, it’s suitable for the measuring room and for mobile use in production.

In combination with a tripod or desk stand and the rotating ROT 350 scanning table or a motorization kit, the 3D scanner ATOS Q may also be used for semi-automated operation.

From small to the largest part, measuring is easy thanks to the fixed camera position.

ATOS Q ensures quality

The interchangeable lenses of ATOS Q ensure high-precision measurements of small to medium-sized parts.

Technical Data

ZEISS ATOS Q is available with two different camera resolutions: 12 M and 8 M, which means the 3D scanner capture up to 2 × 12 million or 2 × 8 million coordinate points during scanning. The accuracy, resolution and the measuring area can be freely defined.
