Metrology-grade quality
ZEISS ScanPort offers high accuracy and fast, precise 3D data. Fringe Projection Technology and Blue Light Technology guarantee the highest quality.
3-axis automated 3D scanning
ZEISS ScanPort is a semi-automated all-in-one solution. The automated arm, which moves up and down and tilts backwards or upwards, offers 3-axis automation in combination with the rotation table. The sensor therefore measures from different distances and angles, capturing every detail of the measured part.
Mobile and flexible
ZEISS ScanPort brings automation to you, wherever you need it. Simply place it and you can start measuring your part, even directly in production. Its lightweight and modular design makes it easy to transport or move around. For added flexibility, you can take off the 3D scanner to also measure large parts. ZEISS ScanPort is available in different versions, that allow you to choose the resolution according to the details you need.
A software that guides you
ZEISS ScanPort operates with ZEISS INSPECT, the well-established standard in 3D metrology. Powerful mesh editing functions make it an ideal tool for 3D printing and reverse engineering. What’s more, you can effortlessly handle simple and complex tasks throughout your inspection process. A software to simplify and speed up your workflow.
Is ZEISS ScanPort a 3D scanner, or an automation system?
ZEISS ScanPort is an automation system, not a scanner. It is a 3-axis motion platform — a motorised arm that raises, lowers and tilts, combined with a 350 mm rotation table — that carries a ZEISS 3D scanner around your part so the sensor measures from multiple angles and distances without an operator repositioning anything. The sensor itself is a ZEISS ATOS Q or GOM Scan 1, which is why performance figures such as up to 12 million points per scan and 0.03 mm point distance come from the scanner mounted on it. The platform handles parts up to 20 kg within a scanning volume of 500 mm diameter × 300 mm, weighs around 22 kg, and breaks into modules of 11 kg or less for transport. Because the scanner detaches, the same sensor can be lifted off ScanPort and used freestanding on larger parts.
Features
High repeatability and accuracy
ZEISS ScanPort in combination with ZEISS INSPECT offers high repeatability and accuracy. With motion replay and scanning templates, repeatability is easier than ever. With just one click, you can reproduce your entire scan. ZEISS ScanPort is a reliable and powerful solution for all your measuring tasks.
Template-based scanning
The pre-defined scanning templates in ZEISS INSPECT don’t require any setup. Just position the part and start scanning. Customizable templates allow you to add additional instructions to the measuring setup.
Reproduce your scan in one go
ZEISS ScanPort is a powerful solution for the repeated inspection of complex, similar parts. With motion replay, you can repeat the same measurement with just one click, whereby the inspection for the second part is automatically updated. You can even see deviations between all measured parts, allowing you to quickly identify trends between the parts.
Extended software for extended uses
ZEISS INSPECT is our all-inclusive, easy-to-use 3D metrology software. With this powerful software, mesh editing, CAD comparison or 3D model creation is done with just a few clicks. Extended software capabilities such as the kiosk mode ensure that you can make the most of measuring with this system. In this mode, ZEISS ScanPort is operator-independent and anyone can measure and inspect the required parts.
Workflow assistant
The workflow assistant in ZEISS INSPECT guides you step by step through typical measurement tasks. Simply choose what you want to do, such as scanning multiple parts at once, and follow the instructions. With ZEISS ScanPort and ZEISS INSPECT you are supported throughout your entire metrological workflow.
Quick calibration
Recalibration of ZEISS ScanPort is very easy and automated. With the included DAKKS/Ilac-calibrated hyperscale, a quick and one-shot calibration ensures your sensor delivers high-quality data.
What is the difference between ZEISS ScanPort and ZEISS ScanCobot?
Both automate ZEISS 3D scanning, but they solve different problems. ZEISS ScanPort is a portable 3-axis system — a tilting, height-adjustable arm plus a rotation table — designed to move and set up quickly. At roughly 22 kg in modules no heavier than 11 kg, with a travel case available, it suits teams who need automated inspection in more than one location, or who move it between a measuring room and the production floor. ZEISS ScanCobot is a 7-axis system built around a collaborative robot arm on a wheeled workstation. The extra axes give fuller part coverage in a single setup and true unattended series measurement, at the cost of a larger, heavier machine that stays where you put it. Choose ScanPort for automation you can pick up and carry; choose ScanCobot for volume throughput at a fixed station.

How a free ZEISS ScanPort evaluation works in Malaysia
Every specification was measured under ideal conditions. Your parts are not. Surface finish, tolerance band, geometry that hides from the sensor, deep pockets, undercuts, features you can see but can’t reach with a probe — these decide whether this instrument works for you, and none of them appear on a datasheet. That’s why we evaluate before you buy, on your parts, at no cost.
Alloytool runs three offices — Selangor, Penang and Johor — fast & quick response. At least two hold AUKOM certification, the independent European standard for metrology competence, and they’re backed by an in-house software and automation engineer who handles the ZEISS INSPECT side: reporting templates, data workflow, and integration with whatever you already run.
Most of our engineers came from measurement equipment backgrounds before ZEISS, so the conversation starts from your part & factory settings, not from a brochure.
Onsite demo and test
- A brief consultation — size, material, surface finish, tolerance and the features you need to measure.
- We work out whether this equipment suits your requirment. If a 3D scanner, VMM or tactile CMM is the better answer, we’ll say so before booking anything.
- A team arrives with the instrument; desk stand and rotation table. Setup needs a bench and a power point.
- We scan your part with your team watching, and build the mesh live in ZEISS INSPECT.
- Where you supply CAD, we run the comparison and walk through the deviation result with you on the spot.
Virtual Session
Sometimes a site visit takes longer to arrange than the evaluation itself. A virtual session gets you the same walkthrough over a screen share — the demo, software, the workflow, the reporting output, and answers to whatever your engineers want to interrogate. It’s the fastest way to reach a shortlist before you commit anyone’s afternoon, and it works well when the people who need convincing sit in different places.
